Reporting to the General Manager, the Commercial Manager role involves:
- Promote business capabilities and services to both existing and potential customers in the UK and Europe to boost sales and expand the customer base.
- Foster enduring customer relationships by collaborating closely with them and comprehending their specific needs.
- Conduct technical assessments of opportunities and collaborate with in-house engineers to create quotes and proposals tailored to meet customer demands.
- Conduct demonstrations, exhibitions, and technical presentations to raise awareness in the market about the benefits of using this product.
- Ensure excellent standards of aftersales service, focusing on post-remodeling component performance to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Maintain effective sales and quote data management, including timely recording of visits, technical and action reports, and analysis of order performance against budgetary targets.
Experience and Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or an HNC/HND with equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in power generation, marine or oil and gas refining industries
- Full knowledge of recognised industry codes and standards, and well-versed in writing and understanding technical specifications and quality plans.
- Thorough understanding of and exposure to materials of manufacture, welding and NDE fundamentals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable initiating and leading meetings and presentations.
- A "can do" professional engineering approach demonstrating pragmatism, proactivity and solution-driven mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to build relationships with customers and colleagues.
- A full UK driving licence to meet the requirements of field-based role.
Excellent package:
- Base salary £55-60K
