We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Manager to join our clients team as they embark on a prestigious multi-million-pound hotel and leisure project in Cardiff. As a key player in the main contracting team, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of the project to ensure its success.Responsibilities:* Lead and manage the commercial team, providing guidance and support in contractual matters, cost control, and procurement strategies.* Collaborate with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and subcontractors, to foster positive working relationships.* Develop and implement robust commercial processes to ensure effective financial management throughout the project lifecycle.* Negotiate and manage contracts, variations, and claims to maximize profitability while mitigating risks.* Monitor project costs, budget allocation, and financial performance against targets, providing timely reports to senior management.* Conduct regular reviews of subcontractor agreements and performance to ensure alignment with project goals and quality standards.* Implement and enforce compliance with industry regulations, contract terms, and company policies.Requirements:* Proven experience as a Commercial Manager on large-scale construction projects, preferably within the hotel and leisure sector.* In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control techniques.* Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.* Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a commercial team.* Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.If you have the expertise and ambition to excel in a challenging and rewarding environment, we invite you to apply
