MJM Industrial are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Manager to work directly for a market-leading global operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The key responsibility of the Commercial Manager is to offer expert contract management, procurement, cost control, and administration services, facilitating the successful execution of intricate automation system projects in dynamic, evolving, and challenging airport and parcel environments.

 Your role will include but is not limited to:

• Responsible for managing project costs and minimizing commercial risks through effective contract interpretation, management, and administration with customers and subcontractors.
• Manage project finances by forecasting cash flow, applying for payments, and setting billing plans.
• Negotiating compensation events with both customers and subcontractors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project engagement and successful delivery.
• Constantly improve personal and others' commercial management skills to enhance individual and collective project delivery.
• Conclude projects and contracts by finalizing accounts, obtaining certification, and capturing lessons learned.

YOUR BACKGROUND AND RESPONSIBILITIES

It is essential you meet the following criteria to be successful when applying for this position:

• Experience with different forms of contracts (NEC3, NEC4, MF/1)
• Commercially overseeing multiple complex engineering projects valued over £5m.
• Manage change by analysing scope and estimating time and cost for compensation events.
• Proficient comprehension of project schedules and expertise in analysing schedule delays.
• Handle suppliers and subcontractors, from pre to post-contract, and maintain effective relationship management.
• Skilled in negotiation, diplomacy, and conflict resolution.
• Understand project accounting for ongoing budget reconciliation, actual costs, cash flow forecasting, and final accounting.
• Preferably a member of a professional body such as RICS, CIOB, ACostE.
• Collaborate with diverse project teams, taking ownership and ensuring commercial success for projects.

• 40 hour working week (Monday – Friday 8:30 – 17:00 but flexible)
