SalaryOur prestigious client, a leading public sector organisation in the heart of London, is seeking a skilled Commercial Procurement Policy and Compliance Officer. This role is critical in supporting their Commercial Director in strategic planning, policy development, and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations.
Your expertise will ensure compliance with national and local regulations, driving responsible procurement practices and continuous improvement.
MUST HAVE PROCUREMENT EXPERIENCE and experience of working in UK public sector
This is a temporary role for 6 months initially, starting on the 23rd June 2024. £300 - £350 Daily Rate
The role will be based in their offices in Guildhall, London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Commercial Director in the provision of overall strategic support, development and planning for Commercial Services and the wider business.
- Craft and maintain procurement policies, guidelines, and Compliance activities.
- Compliance Support - Ensure adherence to the Procurement Code and UK Public Contract Regulations.
- Develop and monitor procurement controls and Compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with legal advisors on procurement legislation and Compliance matters.
What We're Looking For:
- The client requires someone who can advise on both internal governance and procurement regulations.
- Proven experience in procurement Policy and Compliance.
- Strong skills in drafting and maintaining procurement documentation.
- Ability to analyse data to drive policy improvements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
