The City & Capital Group are currently representing a highly respected and long-standing Commercial Property Finance advisory business who have retained our services in order to appoint an experienced, knowledgeable and confident Financial Consultant to their growing team.

Our client has been supporting property investors, developers, SME businesses and Corporate Institutions in terms of advice and access to funds for a broad range of Commercial Property loans for nearly 50 years. They are known as one of the most reliable sources upon within the market and as a 'go to advisory firm' for borrowers to seek advice on their property plans and to deliver access to the relevant funds they need to complete key projects.

This may cover commercial term loans across multiple sectors and would also include access to funds for short term property needs, such as bridging finance, longer term property projects, such as property development and investment portfolio requirements, such as Buy to Let.

Our client is well connected to the industry’s leading banks, lenders and funds who can support any client, no matter their requirement in terms of loan size and purpose.

This includes excellent longstanding relationships with the tier one banks, as well as strong relationships within the specialist property lending market for firms who require access. This whole of market setup allows borrowers to ascertain funds of between £100k - £100m quickly and in line with their demands. As a result, repeat business is a very large part of their business model.

Due to this the successful Financial Consultant will be expected to undertake an initial review and assessment of leads coming into the business with a view to engaging with clients that require support. As part of the role you will be welcome to continue to work with your own market connections/borrowers also, though leads will be provided and our client is always in high demand.

Following initial engagement with the client you will then manage their requirements from cradle to grave, working closely with the lenders and banks in the market to identify and engage with the ideal property loan, managing the deal through to completion and drawdown, and the client relationship throughout and thereafter.

Due to the above the ideal individual must have experience of working within the Commercial Property Finance space and must be comfortable when advising clients who may not be as experienced in regard to their options for property loans. This will include undertaking an initial fact find on the client either face to face or online.

You will be a confident relationship manager in respect of relationships with borrowers and market lenders and highly organised to ensure that when working on behalf of multiple clients you can keep those plates spinning in terms of meeting deadlines for requirements and SLA’s. You will demonstrate a good attention to detail and are likely to have worked for a bank, lender or commercial broker or advisory during the course of your career.

The basic package on offer for this role is c£45k - £50k relevant to experience & performance at interview, as you would expect. This will be complemented with access to the company benefits scheme and an entirely uncapped bonus potential meaning what you earn each year is entirely in your hands.

OTE’s of c£85k - £90k should be attainable in year one, with higher OTE’s expected in later years as your experience progresses and your pipeline builds.

You will be able to attend our clients office as and when required and will demonstrate the following:

Required Experience:

  • A demonstrable track record of funding Commercial Property Finance deals
  • A strong knowledge of Commercial Property loan structuring and negotiation
  • Experience working for a broker, bank or lender in respect to Commercial Property loans
  • A good knowledge of credit or credit risk principles within Commercial Property Finance
