COMMERCIAL PROPERTY LAWYER (FIXED TERM CONTRACT FOR 1 YEAR) - (HYBRID)

The Commercial Property Lawyer is responsible for providing legal advice on Commercial Property matters generally and playing an important role during the current rationalisation programme of the Charity’s property portfolio. A key element of this role is also to lead on business as usual support on property matters, whilst supporting the Senior Commercial Property Solicitor on more complex matters.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will be educated to a degree level, qualified Barrister or Solicitor of England & Wales with at least 3 years post qualification experience and current practising certificate, solid experience of Commercial Property Law and Practice and resourcefulness to develop solutions to complex legal or regulatory challenges.
About The Role
Prepare, review and negotiate complex and routine Commercial Property transactions involved with the disposal of a significant Commercial Property portfolio via public auction or private treaty.
Obtain s119 reports and liaise with relevant professionals eg. surveyors to achieve best value for these properties; Liaise with external counsel, draft, review and negotiate contracts; leases, licences, transfer deeds, deeds of surrender and similar documents (with Senior Commercial Property Solicitor’s guidance)
Analyse title documents and legal descriptions of property; prepare reports on title; prepare completion statements and invoices; prepare Land Registry applications.
