A great opportunity for a Paralegal to join a large and supportive Commercial Property team for a national law firm with a strong reputation
Responsibilities:
- Support for commercial landlord and tenant management, secured lending, and major urban regeneration projects.
- Post-completion responsibilities, such as land registry applications, SDLT returns processing, and property titles research and updates.
- Assistance with title due diligence, including submission, collation, and review of searches and enquiries.
- Handling exchanges and completions, including completion statements, pre-completion searches, and post-completion registration and tax formalities.
- Negotiating and agreeing highways, drainage, and sewerage agreements.
- Involvement in ad hoc projects, both small and large, with support from the team.
- Adherence to data security, as well as compliance with all firm policies and procedures, is integral to the role.
The ideal candidate:
- As a law or GDL graduate, you will already have a good technical grounding in the law with a keen interest in land law and property
- Preferably, at least 6 months' experience as a paralegal, particularly within the property sector.
- Strong academic background and effective communication skills are essential.
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet demanding deadlines, showcasing initiative, drive, and excellent organizational skills.
- Team player who enjoys assisting others and is enthusiastic about learning.
- Takes pride in work, committed to providing first-class support to fee earners.
- Anticipates needs in advance, pays meticulous attention to detail, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
