) is hiring a
Commercial Risk Analyst in our London office that will cover our European Businesses including Natural Gas, Power, and Oil. In addition they will be involved with portfolio optimization, and hedging activities for the portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity expand on their technical and risk management skills but also be involved in commercial activities including hedging and portfolio optimization for the wider CCI portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Build automated reporting dashboards and analytical tools.
- Utilise various mathematical methods to analyze the statistical correlation of various energy trading markets.
- Onboard new products and build/maintain price series for risk calculations
- Perform business performance analyses including trader and investment process evaluations.
- Work with traders to help them better manage risk and maximize the opportunity set.
- Work with commercial leaders to identify and execute on new business opportunities.
Education:
- Minimum of 1.5 years in a Risk Analyst (P&L and/or Market Risk) role within energy space.
- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Operations Research, Physics or a related field of study.
Skills:
- Technical
- Solid programming experience in Python, R or Matlab for data analysis (pandas, numpy, scikit, statsmodel)
- Solid Experience with data visualization or dashboarding frameworks (Power BI)
- Experience with SQL databases
- Strong communication skills
- Self-starter with strong desire to grow product knowledge within energy.
- Ability to identify and implement innovative approaches to process, data, and analysis.
