Salary: GBP24,505 to GBP27,571 per annum

Commercial Sales Assistant The Role:

Braintree District Council is seeking two Commercial Sales Assistants to join its operations team. As a Commercial Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing and new commercial waste customers. Your role will involve providing support and guidance to customers regarding their waste requirements, including opportunities for recycling.

Playing a crucial role in enhancing customer experience and generating additional income, you will employ a proactive sales approach to meet targets. You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, offering advice and assistance on various queries.

Additionally, you will collaborate with the Waste Management team to ensure that customer service standards are upheld. This includes promptly addressing issues or queries, such as non-collection of waste, and providing administrative support to the Operations team.

Commercial Sales Assistant You:

To be successful in this role, it is essential that you possess:

- Good sales and negotiation skills

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in telephone and face-to-face sales

- Confidence and a sales-oriented approach

- Experience in expanding a portfolio of commercial customers

- Proactive attitude towards meeting customers

- Ability to develop and maintain excellent customer relations

- Possession of a full clean driving licence

- Access to own vehicle
