Our client based in Basildon is looking for an experienced Commercial Sales Executive to join them on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate for this role will need experience in the Logistics Industry specifically Air and Ocean
Key Responsibilities.
- Achieving sales targets by seeking and acquiring new customers specifically to the Ocean and Air department and generally for the company.
- Working with the Directors and management to raise the company's profile in the Ocean and Air sector within the UK.
Main Duties.
- Maintaining and developing relationships with both new and existing customers via face-to-face meetings, Video Conference Meetings, telephone calls and emails.
- Visiting potential customers for new business.
- Sourcing information for potential new business, from new and historical clients.
- Making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations.
- Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales.
- Gathering market and customer information and providing feedback on potential future buying trends.
- Potentially representing the company at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations.
- Advising variations in price, delivery, and specifications to the Board of Directors.
- Working with the Board of Directors to identify new markets and business opportunities.
- Recording sales and order information and sending copies to your colleagues.
- Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
- Completing a visit report for each visit attended.
Our client is offering a competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 Plus commission paid quarterly if earned.
The hours are Monday - Friday 9am-5.30pm
A DBS check will be required for this position (paid for by the company)
