We are seeking a Commis Chef or Chef De Partie to work on a full or part time basis for an exciting restaurant offering modern Mediterranean Tapas cuisine in the very heart of Windsor, Berkshire. We have seating for 28 rising to over 35 in the summer with outside seating.
The role of the Commis Chef or Chef De Partie will be varied but will include the following:
- To assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef with food preparation at the Plate at No.6 restaurant.
- To prepare vegetables, meats and fish as directed by the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
- To cook and prepare elements of food dishes as directed by the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
- To assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in ensuring that the Plate at No 6 Restaurant will be given a 5 food hygiene rating and that you will ensure compliance to the food standards and ensure the kitchen is kept clean and professional at all times.
- To assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the storage of foods and taking in and checking deliveries.
- To support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in monitoring stock levels of foods and kitchen equipment.
- To support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in processing any laundry requirements.
- To ensure the disposal of food wastes in an environmentally friendly way subject to and as directed by the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
- To liaise with suppliers as requested
The Commis Chef or Chef De Partie may on occasions be requested to take on additional hours to cover for annual leave and sickness.
The available position(s) are for key to the running of the restaurant to be part of an effective and efficient small team working at the restaurant and to assist the kitchen in producing good food that our valued customers will enjoy. Previous experience would be helpful and also applicants with approripate vocational qualifications will be ocnsidered.
