Commissioning Engineer

What Are We Looking For?

RSE is recruiting Commissioning Engineers to join us on a permanent basis, assisting in the delivery of projects for a variety of clients. You will undertake Process, Control, Instrumentation and Electrical works - including installation, testing, commissioning, and fault finding within new and existing plant, chemical dosing and control equipment, MCC’s, industrial instrumentation, analysers, motors, actuators and all other equipment used in the automated control systems associated with RSE products and those used by clients in Water, Chemical Dosing and Petro-chem industries.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:

• Provide a flexible approach to resourcing all commissioning requirements of various projects
• To support the project team by developing commissioning plans, site commissioning files, methodologies, programmes, method statements and risk assessments
• Monitor standards to ensure specification compliance and quality standards are strictly maintained
• Participate in HAZCOMM activities for various projects as required
• Complete FAT activities both internally and with Subcontractors and provide constructive input with regards to system controls
• Carry out commissioning of Process and LV Electrical systems, Instrumentation and Control Systems including MCC’s and associated field equipment
• Responsibility for work area Environmental and H&S considerations when on site, ensuring all relevant control measures are in place.
• Preparation of relevant risk assessments & method statements.
• Complete SAT and Asset Start-up
• Complete commissioning documentation
• Provide training to client operational and maintenance teams
• Provide feedback and lessons learned to design teams

What Do You Need?

• Electrical/Instrumentation HND/HNC or equivalent
• Proven Mechanical & Electrical experience
• Ability to read and understand Engineering Drawings (P&ID, GAs, Electrical, Control)
• Experience in FAT, SAT testing and fault finding
• Experience in executing process pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for clean, wastewater and industrial projects on both new build and retrofit sites
• Experience of Permit to Work and Safe Systems of Work
• Willingness to work across the UK which will necessitate periods of time being spent away from home (usually only during the working week)
• Ability to manage your own workload (multiple projects) and adapt given work schedule in to meet the requirements of the business
• Display commercial awareness and portray the company in a positive and professional manner
