Job description

 

About the Team 

 

You would be working within the Education Capital and Sufficiency Team supporting the Council’s statutory duty to ensure there is sufficient education provision and a viable local supply exists to meet local need and demand across early years, primary and secondary school provision, post 16 and special education needs and disabilities (SEND) provision.

 

About the Role 

 

You will support the Strategy and Commissioning Manager for Education Sufficiency to meet the Council’s statutory responsibilities for education provision and manage individual projects from feasibility to completion in order to provide high quality places.

 

Whilst this role with have a focus on mainstream primary and secondary sufficiency, the role will be involved in supporting to meet the overall strategic objectives across the different education sectors.

 

Key Requirements 

 

  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with a range of key stakeholders including other WCC teams, statutory partners, education providers and customers.
  • Ability to analyse complex data and information to ensure resources are targeted as effectively as possible.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of relevant education legislation, guidance and policy including Admissions, SEND and school organisation.
