We are looking for a Commissioning Officer to join the public health commissioning team, which is part of the all-ages people commissioning service. It includes children, adults, and public health commissioning and contract management functions in one team. This is an exciting time to join the team as we develop and grow our children's commissioning function.
You will join a diverse, professional, and highly skilled service that champions Bradford's commissioning and contract management practice. The team plays a central role in developing and improving services in Bradford's wider health and care partnership.
The Commissioning Officer role provides operational delivery of commissioning activity aimed at all services under the Public Health umbrella, improving outcomes for Bradford and Airedale district residents and helping us get the best possible quality and price for commissioned services.
This will include work programmes related to Health Protection, Health Improvement, Health Intelligence, Living Well Services, Healthy Communities, and Vulnerable Populations. Candidates should have an understanding of the issues facing these areas of commissioning and the ability to undertake commissioning activity to support measurable and positive outcomes.
