Primary Objective:
As a Communications Assistant, your primary objective is to support internal and external communications at MJ Quinn. This role is crucial in supporting positive changes in communication, employee engagement, and enhancing the company’s profile and brand image.
Principle Accountabilities:
This is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you will be expected to perform various tasks as required by your evolving role within the organisation and overall business objectives. This job description will be updated in alignment with company activities and role development.
Internal Communications:
- Support the maintenance of the Quinntranet platform.
- Utilise notice boards/screens to promote staff events, share good news stories, and highlight achievements.
- Assist in producing and distributing companywide news updates.
- Contribute to the creation and sending of bulletins regarding new contract awards, staff appointments, and other important changes within the business.
- Provide support to the training academy by assisting with branded corporate training materials.
- Assist in creating and sending regular field communications using text systems or similar tools.
- Monitor staff and engineer suggestion inboxes.
External Communications:
- Assist in managing all social media channels.
- Tackle negative press regarding company reviews and promote MJ Quinn as a destination employer.
- Contribute to improving and managing the MJ Quinn website by creating regular, engaging posts to increase followers and attract individuals to the MJQ website/vacancies.
- Assist in the development of communication packs, including videos and handouts, for use on the website, pitches, and job fairs.
- Collaborate with the team to work with local and national media to promote MJ Quinn’s contract wins.
Business Improvement:
- Assist as a point of contact for requests regarding the use of MJQ brand to ensure logo authorisation.
Community Outreach:
- Contribute to attending local schools, colleges, and universities to raise the profile of MJ Quinn.
- Assist in setting up links with local charities to strengthen community engagement.
