Nelson Permanent Placements are currently recruiting for Communications & Marketing Officer to work for our client who operate in the Engineering services industry. Our client is a well-established and reputable business who operate nationally and have a number of blue chip clients.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years working as a Communications & Marketing Officer and will contribute to the day-to-day development and execution of the external & internal communication strategy of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Communications
- Co-ordinate the company’s internal and external communications, including employee newsletters, emails, social media content, Group App, and digital signage.
- Develop and implement the digital and social media strategy to improve our online presence and increase brand awareness and engagement.
- Creation of annual communications plans and related strategies
- Project management of communications initiatives, including stakeholder engagement, managing deadlines, facilitating collaboration between teams, effective communication of objectives and expectations, and reporting to leadership.
- Reporting on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and as-needed basis.
- Photo library management including photography at group events.
- Contribute to the creation of presentations and assets at internal events.
- Manage and build relationships to source and generate internal stories.
PR & Marketing
- Facilitating updates to the Group website including uploading news, creating new pages, maintaining live pages, uploading new case studies, responding to website enquiries, and managing the monthly maintenance package.
- Supporting the management of an external PR Agency via weekly calls and being the go-to person to coordinate divisional and Group stories and media assets to accompany PR activities.
- Press coverage management.
- Marketing material production including flyers and brochures.
- Writing, creating, and maintaining case studies for all areas of the business.
- Creating and coordinating internal marketing such as pop-up signs and office graphics maintenance.
- Industry exhibitions – identifying relevant exhibitions and production of supporting marketing materials.
- External awards – supporting the awards submission process and liaising with relevant internal stakeholders.
- Social Media management of the Group’s channels.
- Setting up divisions and departments on social media platforms as required, ensuring brand consistency and tone of voice. In addition, mentoring personnel on how to use social media platforms where required.
- Production and management of company presentations.
- Supporting brand management across the Group ensuring consistency of messaging and tone of voice.
- Reporting to senior management on campaign and website performance using tools such as Google Analytics.
Requirements:
- Possess a relevant degree or professional qualification in journalism, communications, marketing or PR.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of individuals at all levels across the organisation.
- Attention to detail, and the ability to proofread and edit information for a range of internal and external communications channels.
- Proficient and familiar with digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, MailChimp, WordPress, and CMS systems.
- Analytical skills with proven ability to interpret data.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to deliver projects on time, including prioritising personal workload.
- Excellent IT skills including the ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite and a good working knowledge of all major social media platforms
