Job description

Willmott Dixon are currently recruiting for a Communications Coordinator to join our Construction South team to support the Communications Manager with the delivery of communications and to support organising internal events across the business.

The role will be based from our office in Weybridge however you must be happy to travel as you will sometimes be required to work in our Farnborough office as well as regularly organise site events which are based throughout our geographical region of South London and the South East.

Key responsibilities will include:
External Project Communications:

  • Social media (project specific only)
  • Support with organisation of hoarding on sites
  • Copy editing of Site Newsletters
  • Support organisation of project Photos & Drone and time lapse cameras
  • Project event management including arrangement of catering, guest list, invites, photographer, PPE for 1/2 events per site every year.

Internal Project Communications:

  • Management and maintenance of LCO homepage for the company intranet
    Sourcing, copy editing and publishing of articles for the company intranet pages
  • Ongoing management of Project Alerts
  • Management of Yammer groups and providing training as needed
  • Internal Event Presentations
    - Team meetings.
    - Key Influencers.
    - LCO Briefings
  • Project Update Bulletin
  • Internal Awards (development of submission, compilation of entries, selection of winners)
  • Office screens

The ideal person will ideally have strong organisational skills and have some experience in managing events previously. We're ideally looking for someone to work full time but Willmott Dixon are supportive of flexible working and a work/life balance and would consider someone looking for part -time hours of 4 days per week.

Ideally you will have the following skills / experience: -

* Strong organisation and time management

* Attention to detail and accuracy

* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate on all levels

* A creative mind with the ability to challenge the norm

* A positive 'can do' attitude is a must

* Ability to learn from mistakes

* A good level of English grammar

* A strong knowledge of IT with the ability to learn new systems quickly

* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a strong team
