Role: Communications Executive - 12 Month FTC
Location: Newbury/Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in the office)
Salary: £30k + benefits

There is a possibility of a longer term role as we look to build a team that has responsibility for all group wide communications.
What will you be doing?
Reporting in to the Marketing & Communications Manager, you will be an advocate of and champion the Society’s Communications Principles and Best Practice by creating, developing, and managing the Society’s operations communications across mortgages and savings in support of the overall communications plan and corporate strategy. You will use your communications expertise and experience to take complex business requirements and turn them into simple and engaging communications and customer journeys that can be easily understood, delivering good customer outcomes. The responsibilities of this role include:
- Building relationships with key service communications owners and their teams, you’ll take communications briefs from inception to delivery, ensuring regulatory requirements are met
- Bring together subject matter experts and interrogate business requirements, ranging from the straightforward to the more complex, to recommend and create the optimal customer communications response.
- Research, plan, write, update and edit Newbury’s service communications to meet business needs and deliver good customer outcomes
- Create and deliver content in print or digital form and consider ways of creating good customer outcomes with efficiency and cost savings for the society
- Use and manage the service communications catalogue
- Work with outcomes testing teams to support the thinking around the evaluation of service communication performance and how they have been understood by customers.
Key skills & experiences required:
- Proven experience of working within a similar Communications focussed role incl. highly engaging content writing
- Passionate about creating insight-led customer communications that achieve great customer outcomes.
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the society to ensure the communications you design are fully integrated and joined up across channels and customer touch points.

There is a lot to achieve in the next 12 Months on top of a very busy and successful last year. They are based in the centre of Newbury and hybrid working expectations are a minimum of 2 days a week in the office. In return they offer a salary of £30k and a great benefits package. Flexible working arrangements down to a minimum of 28 hours (standard 35 hour week) will be considered.
