We have a fantastic opportunity for aCommunications Graduateto join AmeyComplex Facilities on a permanent basis. During the graduate program the successful candidate will work in the Public Estates division of Complex Facilities, with 50% of their time focused on supporting the Bradford contract and wider district.

Starting Salary: £28,500 per annum

Location: Bradford or local

Start Date: February 2024

Working Hours: 37.5per week.

Complex Facilities have circa 5000 employees delivering bespoke asset and facilities management across complex environments – including defence, justice, and public estates. We deliver essential services across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland - looking after 141 schools and colleges, 18,000 military homes and 60 prisons. We also maintain NHS estates and a wide variety of workplaces for public sector organisations.

You will play a pivotal role in elevating our communication strategies at Amey and in our stakeholder engagement strategies. Your key responsibility will involve 50% of your time with Amey as a Communications Graduate, and 50% of your time working with Bradford Council to continue developing our relationship with our client. Both sides of this role will involve collaborating to develop and implement impactful communication plans that foster engagement and connectivity across our organisations. You will be responsible for:


  • Taking ownership of internal communications channels to effectively align with the overarching communications and business strategies.
  • Developing a positive relationship with Bradford Council, and our other clients.
  • Supporting on events within our Bradford contract and across Public Estates.
  • Gather and create content for internal communications materials.
  • Develop content for various internal platforms such as SharePoint, safety alerts, and People cascades (excluding executive-level communications).
  • Collaborate with the Group's internal communications teams to disseminate pertinent Group-wide campaigns.
  • Partner with other supportive departments and the Public Estates communications lead to formulate communications campaigns and initiatives.
  • Assist in composing articles and feature stories for internal publications.
  • Assume responsibility for furnishing information necessary for monthly reports and data compilation documents.
  • Support the Public Estates ESG lead to formulate, implement and record ESG initiatives.

We want to hear from you if you have:


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interest in communications, governance, and social and environmental issues; a degree in a related field is preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to work to “plain English” principle
  • High level of accuracy and ability to proof read
  • Ability to build effective relationships
  • Interest in ESG
