Job Description
Reporting to the Group Head of Communications we’re looking for an experienced and proactive communications professional to help Frasers Group positively engage both our internal and external audiences through the delivery of the corporate communication strategy, employee engagement initiatives with senior leaders, and management of our social channels.
You will support the Head of Communications and have key accountability for deliverables across a range of disciplines. You will deliver Frasers Group’s corporate communications and external/internal stakeholder engagement strategy.
- Playing a leading role in the delivery of the Group’s Corporate Communications and Employee Engagement strategy
- Responsible for delivering an effective PR strategy for Frasers Group
- Work with our Senior Manager to develop messaging for external communications and deliver any corporate business announcements effectively
- Manage the Communications calendar, including key business announcements, dates and events
- Support the development of communication materials, including press releases, external facing statements, writing speeches, media briefings and newsletters for executive team and board
- Work with our Senior Manager to deliver the execution for key business milestones, including company results, store openings and M&A activity
- Develop new initiatives to drive our employee engagement with senior leaders agenda
- Work with our Senior Manager, and people leadership team to develop and deliver messaging for and the execution of employee engagement initiatives and events
- Work collaboratively with the Learning & Development team to ensure there is an efficient flow of information across the business
- Play a key supporting role with the Learning & Development team to ensure consistency across the two departments
- Manage the content strategy for the business’s corporate social media accounts – LinkedIn and Instagram
- Have an established network of journalists and industry peers
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in PR and Communications
- Employee engagement experience is preferable
- Experience working in a large retail organisation is preferable, but not essential
- Effective communication skills with excellent use of written English and attention to detail
- In-depth understanding of PR channels, newspapers and TV networks
- Experience working with management teams and corporate media experience
- An in-depth understanding of Social Media channels; Instagram and LinkedIn
- Strong organisational skills, time management, the ability to prioritise, be flexible and multitask
- A business-minded individual with an understanding of company branding, digital marketing, and communications
