Weatherbys are looking for a Communications Manager to join us on a full time, permanent basis. This role can be based out of either Wellingborough or London, working a minimum of 3 days in the office per week. You will develop and deliver an effective communications plan, working alongside Marketing, HR colleagues and key stakeholders across a range of platforms, and engaging with multiple audiences.

We are looking to offer a salary of up to £50,000 per annum dependent on experience. In addition, you will receive 25 days’ annual leave (plus bank holidays). WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
- Lead both internal and external communications, writing compelling copies including ghost and collaborative-writing to communicate powerful and inspiring key messages and events
- Own, embed and implement the launch of the intranet, moderating and overseeing the content with the support of our intranet champions. You will play a critical part in embedding the new communication tool across all areas of the business, working alongside leadership and different departments to support with their content and ideas. You will also help with the roll out of phase 2, taking charge of developing and delivering further functionalities of the intranet
- Create and manage a series of effective communications campaigns, distinguishing Weatherbys and articulating how we are different amongst peers and other banks to both internal and external audiences
- Proofread and copy-edit the work of internal stakeholders
- Reengineer content from subject matter experts, making it user and client friendly
- Work closely with content writer and PR agencies, managing them alongside our Marketing Director to ensure that external content messages are on brand
- Create compelling stories to demonstrate our Creating the Future initiative covering sustainability and charity impact
- Work closely with our Marketing Director to help produce the annual report
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Experience of implementing intranet systems is essential for this role. You will play an integral role in launching our new intranet and championing this across the business
- Excellent and adaptable writing skills with the ability to write compellingly, quickly and in a range of voices
- Experience in communication strategies, storytelling, and social media
- Proven ability to manage social media channels, with an understanding of how to build audiences
- You will need the ability to be able to proofread your own work, as well as others
