Hours: 37.5 hours / week (full-time)

We are looking for a dynamic individual to work in our Communications Team supporting the Chief Executive and other senior managers to plan and implement communications and public affairs activity aimed at improving public and stakeholder understanding of Highland Hospice services. You will be a self-starter with proven experience and a desire to see the people of the Highlands receive the best possible end-of-life care. Your base will be the main Hospice building in Inverness where you can build the relationships and networks you need to deliver on your targets.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Communications Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following:

  • Planning and implementing communications, public affairs and marketing activity
  • Providing communications support to managers responsible for Hospice services
  • Improving public understanding of and access to Hospice health and care services
  • Developing marketing collateral in formats including print, web and video

  • Degree or other professional qualification in a relevant subject
  • Proven experience of effective communications
