This role of Shift Manager is based at Bathford Paper Mill, a leading producer of Security Papers with a history of over 300 years in paper manufacture. We are looking for a results-orientated Manager with leadership experience within a manufacturing environment to lead a production shift. You will play a vital role in ensuring production of our high-quality grades in a safe and efficient process.

All applicants must be prepared to work a rolling 12-hour shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities:

· Leadership: Lead the shift to optimise production, ensuring appropriate training and supervision is provided and the people under your supervision work in safe manner. Drive continuous improvement activities and promote a culture of change. Act as the Senior Site Manager outside of normal office hours, following escalation and incident plans.

· People Management: Ensure the shift is appropriately staffed to cover absence periods. Drive and manage performance using the company policies and procedures.

· Communication: Proactively plan and engage with other departments and across the 4 production shifts to ensure a collaborative approach and effective resolution of issues.

· Compliance: Keep company management systems, such as HSE, Security and Quality up to date and relevant and to ensure colleagues under your responsibility are trained to use them and in practice are using them correctly.

· Product: Champion and facilitate effective manufacturing tools & techniques maintaining product quality and maintaining security protocols.

Qualifications and Experience:

· A minimum of 2 years of experience leading within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

· Possess drive, enthusiasm and a determination to achieve results.

· Papermaking or paper conversion knowledge would be advantageous but not essential.
