About us The Global Engagement (GE) team supports the UCL community to deliver transformational global impact, extend UCL’s international reach and develop fair solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges through global partnerships for change. The team is part of UCL Research, Innovation & Global Engagement – RIGE – which brings together a range of functions, services and resources for the UCL community and external partners. GE comprises a high-performing team of professionals with experience in providing high quality global research and education support to academics, expertise in global partnership development and management, as well as geo-political analysis, global communications, strategic planning and operations. The GE communications team is part of the wider RIGE communications function and is focused on raising the profile of UCL’s global activity and impact internally and externally About the role The GE communications team helps strengthen UCL's global impact, reach and culture through: Raising global brand awareness externally through international media and global partnerships engagement, working closely with RIGE comms, media relations and external engagement colleagues Internal communications and stakeholder engagement to support UCL’s global activity, within the professional services and academic community Providing a regional focus to UCL’s global engagement through strategic content generation The Communications Officer will help to deliver, promote and evaluate the team’s range of internal and external communications, including but not limited to: websites, multimedia, social media, e-newsletters and printed materials, as well as events. This role is likely to appeal to someone with experience working in a communications role and an interest in international higher education or global partnerships. We will consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible. This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 40% on site. About you You will have experience of managing and developing social media channels and websites, including analysing metrics to deliver regular communication reports. You will have strong content creation skills, with experience of planning and developing both written and multimedia materials to meet a specific objective.
