About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Communications Officer (SCPP) to support on the delivery of the marketing, communications and audience development plans for arts and cultural events and activities happening across the City.
Whilst reporting into Salford City Council's (SCC) communications team, the Communications Officer - SCCP will directly support the culture team and wider Salford Culture and Place Partners - working with them to increase audiences and engagement across a range of events and programmes. You will work as part of the team and alongside key partners to raise the profile of key cultural events, festivals, projects, networks, training and other opportunities including through creative campaigns, digital content, newsletters, PR etc.
You will coordinate related internal and external communications activity and audience development activity, applying strong planning, administrative, digital and marketing skills. You will also work collaboratively with SCC's marketing and culture teams, artists and partners - regularly acting as an advocate for the programme at workshops, events and performances
About You
The ideal candidate will be organised, creative and a motivated self-starter that can confidently manage an exciting and varied workload incorporating multiple projects. You will be a collaborator, committed to building effective working relationships with stakeholders, creative partners, artists and communities.
Whilst this role will be based at SCC, you will work closely with partner organisations across the Salford Culture and Place partnership and wider City/Region.
