Community Advice Worker (Debt)

We are looking for someone with a deep knowledge of the complexities and challenges facing migrants who are at risk or in crisis in the UK. The post holder will need experience of developing and managing holistic advice and casework services for migrants including those who have complex needs. They will also need experience of managing staff and volunteers who are providing advice including immigration, welfare benefits and homelessness advice.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Substantial experience of providing effective and supportive line management and a proven track record of effective team management for staff and volunteers.
• Substantial experience of providing advice and casework support to migrant individuals and families who have complex needs including immigration, homelessness and welfare rights advice.
• Successful experience of developing services in partnership with other agencies to ensure that clients’ complex needs are met.

The benefits:

• Salary of £40,211
• Full time (35 hours) or part time (28 hours), flexible working can be negotiated
• 25 days annual leave, plus Christmas closure and bank holidays (pro rata)
