Job description

Location: University Park The Community Engagement Team at University of Nottingham are seeking a highly organised, Community Engagement Manager to join our team in a brand-new role. The successful candidate will be passionate about driving our commitment to Social Responsibility. As one of two Community Engagement Managers you will play a pivotal role in connecting our university with the broader community, fostering meaningful partnerships, and implementing initiatives that make a positive impact. You will provide management support and guidance to the Community Engagement Co-ordinators and Ambassadors working within the team. This is a pivotal role in shaping the university's relationship with the community, promoting responsible behaviour among students, addressing behaviour when required, whilst promoting positive wellbeing and signposting support. This position requires a compassionate person who can balance the interests of the university, students, and the local community while providing essential support to students and will deputise for the Head of Community Engagement when required. The role holder will implement preventive measures, manage conflicts, collaborate with public services, Students’ Union and external stakeholders. As part of this work, they will establish a brand-new mediation framework for addressing conflicts. This varied and specialist role requires excellent communication, collaboration, project-management and organisational skills. You should have a flexible approach to work with the ability to react well to changing priorities. This position is offered on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full time, 36.25 hours per week.
