Our client is currently seeking a Community Engagement & Volunteer Co-ordinator to join their team on a part-time basis, working 14 hours per week, for a temporary contract until 31st March 2025, with a possible 12 month extension.

The Role
As a Community Engagement & Volunteer Co-ordinator, you will lead engagement with the community and our client’s partner organisations, creating opportunities that have a positive impact for those in Hollinwood.
Delivering engagement and participation opportunities that involve and make a difference to communities, you will create an active, vibrant Community Hub, delivering services that meet the needs of the community.
You will also work with our client’s teams to ensure that learning and opportunities for collaborative working are maximised and embedded.
Additionally, you will lead volunteer recruitment and diversify our client’s volunteer base to better represent the community in which they deliver.

 

Your role will also involve:
 

- Leading the evaluation of the Community Hub project
- Promoting and marketing the activities on offer to the community and other stakeholders
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and adults
About You
To be considered as a Community Engagement & Volunteer Co-ordinator, you will need:
- Experience in a community multi-agency setting using participatory and community development methods to engage communities

- Experience of volunteer recruitment and management
- Experience of stakeholder engagement and/or development work
- A good understanding of safeguarding issues
- To be educated to level 3 or above with a recognised professional qualification in Community Engagement, development work, health or education or equivalent experience
