We are looking for Band 6 Nursing Team Lead to join our Community Nursing team based at Hawkhurst Community Hospital, Weald.
The service operates seven days a week from 8am – 6pm. These extended working hours allows more flexible working for anyone looking for more flexible hours. More than half of our workforce works flexibly in some way. We will consider all kinds of flexible working including; part-time, job sharing, compressed hours, term time only, career breaks or annualised hours.
Weekend working is generally on a 1:4 ratio with days off during the week.

There are two teams supporting patients registered with GP practices working in the Hawkhurst area and surrounding villages within the Weald Primary Care Network. Each team has two senior nurses who to take responsibility for a defined geographical area, and provide clinical leadership to their Band 5, Band 4 and Band 3 staff. The team will work together to manage caseload patients delivering a high-quality service.
You will need to be an experienced nurse with relevant transferrable clinical skills. Candidates wanting to move to a community setting with advanced clinical skills or expertise will be considered. KCHFT is keen to support development and therefore, candidates without the specialist District Nurse qualification or having a recognised advanced clinical skills/module will be considered or offered for trainee posts.
Staff will be required to drive their own car and are able to claim mileage costs and access the NHS car lease provision, following their probationary period.
Additional Working Pattern: Working Monday to Friday with rotational weekends between 8am and 6pm
