Base Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per year
OTE Rewards: £30,000 - £90,000 per year (Total earnings)

What is a Business Development Manager at 3D People?
The position of BDM is an opportunity to step into a role in a rapidly expanding industry and business. The position includes identifying, developing, and implementing business growth opportunities within 3D People. You will work closely with the company directors and sales team.
3D People is growing fast, and we’re in search of a talented and driven individual who can thrive in this dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be adept at identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, establishing strong relationships, and contributing to our revenue growth. This role comes with substantial responsibility and autonomy, offering you the scope to design and implement actionable strategies based on your insights and expertise.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Create and qualify lists of prospective clients.
- Build and manage client relationships: Develop and grow sales with new and existing clients.
- Develop and implement growth strategies: Create strategies to capitalise on new opportunities, establish relationships with potential clients, and build new business partnerships.
- Identify new business opportunities: Research and analyse the market and identify new business opportunities that align with our goals.
- Conduct market research: Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and identify potential areas for growth.
- Report and analyse: Create reports on Business Development activities and analyse the results to make informed decisions for future growth strategies.
Skillset / Experience (what do you need to succeed)
- Ability to sell additive manufacturing services (engineering/materials/manufacturing processes knowledge is required)
- Excellent commercial acumen
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to be both proactive and reactive
- Ability to anticipate problems, identify key issues and develop acceptable solutions
- Ability to track and monitor metrics across multiple channels and action strategic improvements accordingly
- Excels in a dynamic work environment
Requirements
- English language skills - excellent written and verbal communication
- Minimum 4 years of Business Development experience in a B2B environment
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with additive manufacturing technologies or 4 years working with other related manufacturing experience.
- Have a thorough understanding of additive manufacturing materials and other manufacturing processes
- Experience working with a small business or an agile business unit

OTE salary
We are looking for someone who shares our passion for achieving our company vision. Therefore we're offering a competitive On-Target Earnings (OTE) package in addition to the base salary for a candidate passionate about achieving our company's vision. This package includes commissions based on sales and revenue targets, directly rewarding your efforts and success in driving business growth.
