Salary: G8, £34,834 - £39,186 per annum
This role is an important part of the Council’s Community Safety Team and will be integral to supporting the Community Safety service to deliver against the Safer Walsall Partnership agenda. The successful applicant will support the implementation and development of a range of Community Safety initiatives and play a key role in Walsall’s Domestic Homicide Review (DHR) process. The postholder will support the management of partnership funding, including the development of funding proposals and act as secretary to the Safer Walsall Partnership Board.
This is an exciting time to join what is a relatively new team, to support the development and delivery of Community Safety work and make a real difference to the communities of Walsall. The postholder will be experienced in partnership working and have experience and knowledge of Domestic Abuse legislation and in particular that relating to DHR’s.
The role and work will support the Council’s Resilient Communities model, which is a strength-based approach that, where appropriate, utilises individuals and communities to support themselves and underpins that support with integrated services and integrated enforcement.

Applicants will have experience of working in a partnership environment and have extensive knowledge of the legislative background for domestic abuse. They will also have a thorough understanding of crime and disorder legislative requirements.
