This is a Fixed Time opportunity to cover a Community Support Worker vacancy with Burnley Pendle and Rossendale Short Break Service.
Salary £23,114-£23,893 per annum , Fixed Term, 25 hours per week
Hours of work : Working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis including evenings, weekends, sleep-in duty and statutory holidays as required. You will receive a 33% enhancement for hours worked at weekends, an additional 50% increment for Bank Holidays, and £38.55 sleep-in allowance per night.
Burnley Pendle and Rossendale Short Break Service is looking for enthusiastic, motivated, flexible staff who would enjoy supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
Support is required on a 24 hours basis working a range of shifts including, evenings, weekends, sleep-in duty and statutory holidays.
The service provides short breaks for people with learning disabilities in purpose-built accommodation
The role involves supporting people who access Short Breaks with all aspects of daily support, including accessing activities and experiences in the local community, personal care, support with managing finances, administering medication, and ensuring individual's needs are met and positive outcomes are achieved.
The successful applicant will value others and have a person-centred approach supporting people with dignity and respect.
The successful applicant will possess strong positive values and principles in their approach to working with people with a disability and will have passion and enthusiasm for making a difference. Excellent communication skills and good IT skills would be a bonus to work with people we support.
