Job description

Active Training Team Ltd are a London-based company who use experiential and immersive training to bring about behavioural change in people and organisations. Our training combines interactive experiences, film, drama, live action and facilitated discussion. ATT have created an immersive, theatre-based, one-day induction programme for a large infrastructure project.
We are currently seeking a Company Stage Manager to work 3 days per week between Monday to Thursday. This is a fixed term contract of 1 year with the possibility of renewal.
Purpose of the role:
To provide leadership on-site for the cast and crew presenting the induction experience to ensure smooth delivery to all participants.
To provide a friendly and welcoming environment whilst ensuring the safety and comfort of cast, crew, and participants, throughout their day at the centre.
General Duties:
Represent ATT as host of the centre in a professional, courteous, and flexible manner.
Act as bridge and liaison on behalf of EPIC, when interacting with participants, so that participants feel, supported, and informed at all times.
To be an effective and empathetic leader of the cast and crew, so that they feel supported and able to deliver outstanding sessions, every time.
To be the primary client contact at the centre, liaising on behalf of ATT with the client.
To manage all day-to-day aspects of the centre, in line with ATT’s procedures and values.
Example Tasks + Responsibilities:
To be the on-site leader and point of contact for cast and crew on the induction project
To hold morning briefing (numbers of participants expected, identify designated First Aiders / Fire Wardens etc).
To oversee the usher team who are guiding participants around the centre
To maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness across the whole of the centre.
To arrange stock checks of costume, props, general kit, consumables, supplies etc.
To collaborate with the TSM to ensure the day runs as smoothly as possible for everyone involved.
To manage daily administration tasks, e.g. attendance sheets, show reports, catering orders, name badges etc.
To monitor the training of new ushers.
To carry out accurate general administrative duties associated with the centre.
Other duties as required
Health + Safety:
Be a nominated Emergency First Aider and Fire Marshal at the centre.
To lead on any necessary evacuation/emergency procedures as required.
To ensure health and safety standards are upheld within the centre at all times.
