Competition Lawyer

Our client is a major UK headquartered global law firm, with an established and longstanding reputation in the jurisdictions within which they operate.

The firm's Competition and Trade team handles a broad range of high-quality work, including advising on EU and UK mergers, competition investigations, behavioural advice, and competition-related litigation. They also advise on a wide range of regulatory and trade work, sanctions, public procurement matters, state aid and consumer enforcement.

Due to growth, the team is now looking for an additional motivated and ambitious Associate or Senior Associate in their London office.

Suitable candidates will be passionate about competition and regulatory law, and interested in working closely with other teams seeing increased competition-related instructions across the firm, such as Energy, TMT, and Life Sciences.

In order to be considered for a role in the team, you will have:

• Qualified as a solicitor, and gained probably 3-6 years' PQE within the Competition team at a similar international firm;
• The ambition to succeed and commitment investing the time and care needed to grow your expertise, as well as develop and maintain successful client relationships;
• A strong academic background;
• Sound judgement and good interpersonal/consultancy skills; and
• The ability to communicate succinctly, and form strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.
