Complex Care Support Worker

The role at Josh’s Care Company:

Rate of pay: £12.75 per hour.

Location: Ilkeston.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Part time 30 hours or full time 45 hours.

Times: This is a day position and there are two shift times available. The shifts are 15 hours and the times are 7am until 10pm.

The company is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.

The candidate that we are looking for has:

• Care experience
• Good communication skills
• Drivers Licence (essential)
• A knowledge of Multiple Sclerosis (preferred)
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Great sense of humour
• Friendly Nature

About the role:

• Providing specialised care to a young gentleman with Multiple Sclerosis who is partially blind and uses an electric wheelchair.
• The service user is quite independent. You will be required to provide assistance and support with his daily activities.
• Being a companion for the service user and getting to know his likes and dislikes.
• Working 1 to 1 with the service user.
• Providing the best support possible for our service user.

To be considered for this position, you will need:

• Flexible availability.
• To be able to work days and alternative weekends.
• A current DBS if possible (Paper or Update Service)

The service user:

Our service user is a 29-year-old who loves advancing his skills. He is currently studying psychology and counselling and has always had an interest in health care. He is very family orientated and has a close relationship with his family. He also shares other interests like watching the tv and weightlifting.

He is really looking forward to meeting his new carers and can’t wait for his new team to start. A positive attitude and a friendly nature are essential for this role.
