We are in search for a PMLD Teaching Assistant to bring their skills and experience on board to work alongside with an outstanding team in a school in East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to improve the lives of children who have difficulty communicating, alongside having Complex Needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and sensory stimulation throughout the day using the facilities.
- Ensuring that every child feels valued and included by adapting to meet the specific needs of every individual.
- Provide a supportive environment by having 1:1 interventions with students that have complex and profound learning difficulties.
- Understand that learning will have to be more interactive and provide this to the children.
- Use your communication skills effectively, as you will be liaising with parents and carers to support the progress of pupils.
Key Requirements:
- Experience of working with children with Cerebral Palsy desired, but not essential.
- Previous successful experience within a similar setting, ideally with children who have SEN and PMLD.
- Genuine interest for supporting children and for special education.
- Safeguarding experience.
- Hoisting experience desired but not essential.
- Have a valid DBS or willing to apply for a new one.
