SIG Plc. is a leading supplier of specialist building materials to trade customers across Europe with strong positions in its core markets as a specialist distributor of insulation and interiors products and as a merchant of roofing and exteriors products.
We are currently looking to recruit a Compliance Administrator, who will be responsible for the collection, validating & assessment of product compliance documentation via the current ICIX platform. This involves liaison with suppliers to chase them through the process and support their upload of the required information and documents. These are then assessed and approved for publication or rejected for amendment. The role covers all products sold within the UK – Interiors & Exteriors.
What does the role involve?
As Compliance Administrator, you will be required to work with the Compliance and Audit team to support audit functions (ISO Audit Programme). You will also ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports and operational practices and documentation returned by suppliers. You will verify assets and liabilities by comparing documentation, completed questionnaires and examining supplier control systems to ensure records are accurate and reliable. You will also be required to monitor and as necessary, co-ordinate the compliance activities of suppliers to remain abreast of the status of activities and identify trends. . A key part of this role will be the planned introduction of compliance data capture in our new PIM system & the migration of all ICIX data into PIM. The role can be in either Bradford or St Ives.
The successful candidate will require:
• Previous experience of process mapping
• The ability to influence others, with knowledge of current legislation
• Strong inter-personal and communication skills
• Experience of working as part of a team, but with the ability to work independently
