Job description

Are you a senior compliance professional with extensive UK regulatory experience? Are you an engaging leader with experience of initiating and sustaining constructive relationships with executive stakeholders? Then read on!

This is an exciting opportunity for a UK Compliance Executive to join the business at a time of significant growth and change. You will be responsible for leading the UK’s second line Compliance function to drive a robust compliance framework, managing escalations and promote compliance across the organization. In addition, you will be a member of the Global Sales Compliance Practice Group, driving consumer protection related topics across Allianz Partners Globally.

You will be responsible for driving timely implementation of Global compliance policies and guidelines in the first and second line including adequate reporting requirements, assessing Group compliance policies against UK regulatory/legal requirements and maintaining compliance policies, procedures and controls. You will also monitor and assess regulatory developments related to UK insurers and insurance distribution firms adapting the compliance program accordingly, hold the SMF16 responsibility and manage the UK’s SMCR framework, including relevant trainings and oversight.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, maintaining a strong and cooperative relationship, ensuring accurate and timely preparation and submission of regulatory reports and respond to inquiries and requests from regulators promptly. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the Allianz Partner’s consumer protection program globally, advising lines of business on consumer protection matters overseeing implementation/improvement and conduct globally second line reviews on products, customer facing material or other relevant consumer protection related matters.

You will also have the opportunity to review global compliance training program against local regulatory requirements and where required, develop and deliver UK-specific compliance training programs for employees to ensure a high level of awareness and understanding of UK market and regulatory compliance requirements.

What we’re looking for:

  • You will have significant senior level compliance experience within a regulated financial services firm
  • You must have strong knowledge UK regulatory requirements, experience in Consumer Duty regulatory requirements
  • You will have experience in managing regulatory relationships
  • You must have excellent communication and leadership skills
  • You will have a high attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
  • You must have a proactive and collaborative attitude and working style, as well as ability to interact in a global work environment and cooperate with stakeholders from different countries and cultures and be part of a global compliance organization

Qualifications:

  • Degree educated

Hours:

Thirty-five hours a week. However, flexibility will be required in line with the needs of the business.
