Compliance Officer - Hybrid

In this key role as Compliance Officer, you'll be responsible for:

• Safeguarding their reputation: Implement and maintain robust Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures to prevent financial crime.
• Ensuring data protection: Oversee compliance with Data Protection regulations like GDPR, safeguarding client information and ensuring best practices.
• Streamlining lettings: Guarantee all tenancies adhere to legal requirements, fostering a smooth and compliant rental process.
• Staying ahead of the curve: Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, analyse evolving regulations, and ensure seamless implementation within the business.
• Empowering the team: Develop and deliver effective compliance training programmes, fostering a culture of awareness and best practices.
• Driving efficiency: Identify areas for improvement, suggest new processes, and contribute to the ongoing optimisation of the compliance framework.

We're looking for someone with:

• 4-5 years’ experience in compliance, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a UK Estate Agency as a Compliance Officer/MLRO.
• In-depth knowledge of AML and Data Protection Regulations (GDPR is essential).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• A proactive and results-oriented approach.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
