About the role
The Compliance Officer works closely with the Senior Compliance Officer, within the Registry department, supporting compliance related operations to ensure that the University meets its legal obligations in respect of the requirements of the UK Visa and Immigration Service (UKVI), and data protection and information legislation. Essential qualities include excellent planning and organisational skills, along with the ability to exercise initiative, and a meticulous degree of accuracy and attention to detail. As a team player with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, you will be able to handle competing priorities and manage a diverse workload, responding constructively as challenges arise, and supporting colleagues in achieving the wider team’s objectives.

The Registry department is committed to providing a quality service to colleagues and students and you must have effective communication skills and enjoy working within a busy external facing department, which involves dealing with queries via email, phone and in person. You will need to be self-motivated and a committed team player as well as be able to demonstrate an interest in Higher Education issues. A Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience is required. A degree level qualification or equivalent experience would be an advantage.
