SalaryVector are currently recruiting for a Quality and Compliance Officer for one of our clients near Dorset to ensure the adherence of their operations and business transactions to pertinent legal, ethical, and internal regulations. The role involves reviewing employees' work and providing guidance on compliance matters.
Your primary objective will be to guarantee that the business operates within the bounds of legality and ethics while achieving their strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing an effective legal compliance program, establishing robust internal controls, and overseeing their adherence.
- Drafting and revising company policies, proactively auditing processes, and evaluating business activities for compliance risks are essential duties.
- Collaboration with external auditors and HR, crisis management planning, and employee education on regulations and industry practices are also key components of the role.
- Other responsibilities include addressing employee concerns or queries related to legal compliance, staying updated on internal standards and business goals, and compiling comprehensive job reports. Additionally, you will audit works completed by engineers, ensuring compliance with internal checklists.
Requirement
- Proven experience as a Compliance Officer or in a similar role, along with expertise in risk management.
- Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards, excellent communication skills, integrity, and a strong sense of professional ethics are essential and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF documents are also crucial.
- A professional certification, such as the Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), would be beneficial but not a requirement.
Salary
- GBP28,000 - GBP30,000 Per Annum
- Performance Bonus
- Monday to Friday
