Job description

We are looking for a Compliance & Project Support Lead within our facilities management team on a 12 month Fixed term contract based in Burton upon Trent.

Your Purpose 

AS the Compliance & Project Support Lead you will deliver EH&S and compliance standards including contractor control for FM across high street and The National Distribution Centre and other UK&I office sites. 

Lead and support the execution of projects that link to the property strategy to drive a positive experience for the wider business. 

Work collaboratively across the wider FM team, utilizing relevant expertise where required, sharing experience and technical skills to the benefit of the team objectives.  Work with the FM leadership team to establish gaps in ways of working and team development needs, in a way that supports overall team success. 

 

Key responsibilities

  • Delivery of EH&S and compliance standards including contractor control of FM across High Street Campus, NDC and other UK&I office sites.   

  • Support the Facilites Leadership team with any project requirements, taking accountability for smaller projects or supporting on large projects 

  • Make sure all compliance EH&S legislation is in place and up to date, to ensure safety of employees, contractors, visitors, suppliers and the general public at all non production sites in Western Europe. Checking contractor compliance and safe working practices are upheld in line with our standards, ensuring corrective actions are addressed   

  • Create, maintain and monitor an audit schedule for authority to work certification, supporting FMHD in ensuring contractor compliance to risk assessments and method statements (RAMS). 

  • Support the FM leadership team with key FM/RE projects that drive a continuous improvement agenda across compliance and EH&S.   

 

About you

  • Experience of managing EH&S compliance in office/distribution centre environment. 

  • Strong understanding of compliance obligations across office/distribution centre environment.  

  • Demonstrated Leadership and management skills

  • Effective communicator

  • Experience of dealing with a wide caried customer base

  • Good Understanding of service level agreements and prioritization and managing expectations

  • Strong IT skills
