Composite Laminator

An experienced Composite Laminator with at least 2 years of Pre-Preg Composite Laminating experience is needed to join the team at this leading Composite Manufacturing company based in Derby on a full-time basis.
Pentaxia is a contract manufacturer of advanced composite (typically carbon fibre) tooling and components. Founded in 2008 and family-owned, the business is on an exciting growth trajectory as we scale to become the UK’s leading advanced composite provider.
As a Composite Laminator, you will be responsible for meticulously preparing and applying composite materials to create high-quality components. You will report directly to the Section Leader.

Key Responsibilities:
Interpreting engineering drawings
Operating specialised equipment
Implementing precise lay-up techniques
Collaborate closely with the production, quality and engineering teams to ensure that quality standards are met and production timelines are adhered to
Required Skills:
Good hand skills and an eye for detail
Competent in vacuum bagging of composite components
Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications
Disciplined in following company standard operating procedures and quality systems
Self-motivated to meet quality and delivery targets
Have a positive “Can do” attitude to everyday operations and continual improvement initiatives
Attention to detail, a keen understanding of composite materials, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Required Experience:
A minimum of 2 years experience in Pre-Preg Composite Laminating
Pre-preg composite experience in motorsport, aerospace or similar industries would be an advantage
