Key Responsibilities:
· Identify hardware and software issues by troubleshooting problems reported by users or through system monitoring tools.
· Fix or replace defective hardware components such as hard drives, memory modules, power supplies, or CPUs. Install or update software, drivers, and operating systems as needed.
· Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning hardware components, applying software updates, and optimizing system performance.
· Retrieve data from damaged or malfunctioning storage devices such as hard drives or memory cards using specialized software tools or techniques.
· Scan systems for viruses, malware, and other malicious software, and remove them using antivirus or anti-malware programs.
· Set up, configure, and troubleshoot local area networks (LANs) and internet connections. Install and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and access points.
· Provide technical support and assistance to users experiencing computer problems. Communicate effectively to understand the issue and provide solutions in a clear and friendly manner.
· Keep detailed records of repairs, maintenance tasks, and customer interactions. Document hardware and software configurations for future reference.
· Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment needed for repairs. Order replacement parts and supplies as necessary.
· Stay up-to-date with advancements in computer technology and industry best practices through self-study, training courses, or certifications.
· Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards for security and privacy.
· Utilize problem-solving skills and technical knowledge to diagnose and resolve complex issues efficiently.
Skills and Experience:
· Proven experience in Computer Repair and troubleshooting.
· Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
· Strong knowledge of computer components and their functions.
· Familiarity with operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
· Experience with diagnostic tools and software for hardware testing.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with customers or end-users.
· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Certification or formal training in Computer Repair or related field (e.g., CompTIA A+ certification) is a plus.
