Salary: £31,350 - £47,839 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)

Role Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Computer Science teacher to inspire and educate our students. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Computer Science concepts and programming languages, with the ability to deliver engaging and practical lessons that promote computational thinking and problem-solving skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of our students' digital literacy and prepare them for future careers in technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum, covering topics such as programming, algorithms, data structures, and computational thinking.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources, including practical activities and project-based learning, to engage students and develop their understanding of Computer Science concepts.
- Teach programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, ensuring students develop practical coding skills.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing feedback to support their learning and development.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and collaboration.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the Computer Science curriculum and participate in departmental planning and initiatives.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) highly desirable.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, with strong subject knowledge and experience in teaching Computer Science at the secondary school level.
- Proficiency in programming languages and practical experience with software development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on advancements in technology and education.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
