Your role will be to build on the meaningful and noticeable progress we have made through our Conservation approach, and to consider how we can further improve our thinking and processes whilst strengthening our partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. We aim to do more, reach more, and partner more to generate a greater impact on our own landscapes, whilst inspiring and partnering with like-minded individuals and organisations to embark on their own conservation projects. Our ongoing goal is to be in a cohort of globally respected thought-leaders, and contributors, in all aspects of regeneration which goes beyond our current ecosystem rehabilitation, to include building restoration, community engagement, encourage positive economic growth and build capacity in rural communities.
You will lead the delivery of our land and water conservation projects across Scotland. You will be responsible for setting the conservation agenda of projects and initiatives that aim to protect and enhance the natural capital of our land and water, as well as contribute in an active way to local, national, and international action on conservation and climate change. You will also be instrumental in optimally positioning our carbon and natural capital assets and potential revenues so that we can continue to invest on the ground where it matters most.
Our goal is to be among the global leaders in regeneration, going beyond our current approach to Ecosystem Rehabilitation to include Built Environment restoration, Community Development and Capacity Building, and breathe new life and new opportunities into the landscapes and communities of the Highlands.
