The successful candidate for Construction and Integration Engineer will have an excellent opportunity to be part of developing and modernising our Sewage Treatment Works in London and our Home Counties.
This role will play a central part in ensuring as part of our Turn Around Plan, we can continue to develop life’s essential services and protect our environments within the Sewage Treatment Plants.
What you’ll be doing as a Construction and Integration Engineer
  • Supporting essential design and delivery reviews, identifying risks and issues, and working with stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Carry out health and safety audits to ensure relevant issues are corrected.
  • Focussed on the construction phase of projects, assessing and reporting project progress, acting to rectify issues, and taking the lead on the escalation process if necessary. Also, ensure all non-conformance is identified and corrected.
  • Managing identification and resolution of snags and after Take Over liaising with Operators and contractors to handle the defects and aftercare process’ and performance testing.
  • Monitored, agreed on, and approved Takeover tests with the project team.
  • Ensure that the required project documentation meets our specifications and approve information for taking over.
  • Working as an active member of one or more project teams with one or more of our contractors.
  • Hybrid – Maple Lodge or Hybrid – Hampton.
  • 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday, you will be required to be on site 3-4 days a week as part of this role.
  • The successful candidate must drive and have a car allowance.

What you should bring to the role
  • Have an HNC or above in an appropriate engineering subject or background in a similar role.
  • Have knowledge of Health and Safety on construction sites or be a holder of SMSTS qualification; this can be offered as part of the role if not a current holder.
  • Understand design, construction, and operations within industries like the water sector.
  • Have a background in project delivery within the construction sector.
  • Be confident in communicating with various levels of stakeholders.
  • Foster a positive Health and safety culture within the team and contractors, ensuring we assert all environmental and Health and safety statutory obligations.

  • Competitive salary from £40,000 per annum to £60,000 per annum.
