Overview:
Klas Steel Limited is a privately owned company providing a range of specialist steel, construction and demolition services for the private, public, retail and commercial sector. Our extensive experience on varied Construction Projects means we can provide unique services including civil engineering and surface works, full structural steel installation, internal and external refurbishment, our clients range from local contractors to some of the most recognised blue chip companies in the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with estimators, internal draughting team etc. to determine the specifications of the project
- Determine and arrange needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations for each project
- Regular liaison with Site Managers and site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
- Manage all Health & Safety requirements for projects with third party consultants (RAMS)
- Plan all construction operations and schedule phases to ensure deadlines are completed within the agreed timescales
- Ensure Subcontractors remain on track and budget
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
- Manage O&M manuals within the agreed timeframes
- Contribute to post-contract review with respect to all relevant project information
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager (including steelwork but not essential)
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of Procore software is preferred
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
