Consult Registered Veterinary Nurse
White Cross Vets, Kings Heath, Birmingham
Salary up to £30,250 depending on experience
No OOH!
White Cross Kings Heath is a busy, fast paced clinic with a team of 8 vets, 8 nurses, 4 veterinary care assistants and 5 receptionists. We have a demand for more nurse appointments, and as result we have a fantastic new opportunity available for a confident and proactive RVN to join our team as a Consult Nurse. This role will be predominantly focused on consultations, implementing, and then leading our nurse clinics, alongside closely working with the HVN to drive the continued development of the nurses within the Kings Heath team. There will be the availability to perform some nursing tasks such as anaesthetics, inpatient care and surgical nursing if the successful candidate wishes to. We are also happy for the successful applicant to do theatre/inpatient care if you would like more variety when you start.
Kings Heath is an excellent place to learn and develop your skills! We have a high case load so there is always opportunity to practice your skills. We encourage our team to use their full potential always! We aim for our nurses to have as much responsibility as they are comfortable with.
The position is for a full-time nurse (37.5 hours per week) working between the hours of 8am-7pm, Monday to Friday. We also have a 1:6 Saturday rota (subject to business requirements) but the hours you work will be taken the following week as TOIL. This allows for an excellent work-life balance. Wellbeing is always top priority at White Cross Vets, so if this is of interest we’d love to discuss the specifics further with you, such as our monthly Wellbeing sessions.
If you love the consulting side of nursing, and are looking for an opportunity to lead and make real, valued change within a brilliant team – this could be the perfect role for you.
