Consultant Psychiatrist (Adults)

Our mission is to elevate the quality of mental health support within the private sector, and we associate ourselves with an exceptionally discerning group of therapists and psychiatrists.

Due to continued expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and experienced psychiatrist, GMC registered, who can adeptly handle complex cases, unless an MDT is required in which case we would redirect some patients to the NHS. You will be based in our private Harley Street rooms where you will conduct consultations in person and online with a diverse array of patients seeking expert psychiatric care.

Harley Therapy's dedicated admin team, available seven days a week, serves as the first point of contact for our patients. This ensures that our psychiatrists, who are never in direct contact with patients outside of the consultations, can maintain their focus on clinical work. Our self-employed therapists and psychiatrists have full autonomy over their practice and caseload management, enabling them to provide the best possible care to their patients. Our practitioners are supported by the management team and Clinical Director for difficult clinical cases.

Numerous members of our present practitioner and medical administrative teams have been integral to our organisation for several years, with many working with us over a decade. We are committed to delivering consistently efficient and personable support and aim to cultivate enduring relationships with all our team members, including both practitioners and medical administrative staff.

You can expect to earn a minimum of £400 for each 50-minute assessment. All appointments are paid by patients in advance and if you wish to work with health insurers, we have our own dedicated team who deals with the claims.

Medical Degree: MBBS or equivalent from a recognised medical school.

Full Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)

Completion of Core Psychiatry Training

Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT)

You would be expected to have a minimum of 10 years of experience and maintain either a clinic or an honorary role within the NHS.

You have the flexibility to determine your own working hours, provided you can conduct a minimum of four initial assessments per week and maintain another clinic, which can be conducted online or in person, for follow-up appointments.
